Flamingo Room by Tashas

With peaches and pinks and gold, floral ceiling fixtures, walnut wood doors and Baobab-tree-inspired installation, this restaurant is one big nod to African heritage, minus the clichés. There’s seating within a pagoda outdoors overlooking the turtle lagoon, meerkats on counters, zebra chairs, and of course a life-size flamingo, true to the restaurant’s name. It’s all jungle-inspired glam, African safari meets luxury. There’s monkeys and meerkats cast in bronze, cushions with hand-embroidered animal motifs, vintage mirrors, curved ceilings – all with loads of salmon hues.

Rainforest Café

The restaurant describes itself as part adventure, part restaurant – one apt description if there was any, considering you’re met with a tropical rainforest complete with waterfalls and vegetation when you enter. Designed to recreate the sights and sounds of the Amazon rainforest, stunning special effects and lifelike animatronics bring this jungle to life. That plus the elephants, jaguars, crocodiles, gorillas, mechanical butterflies and orangutans mean this is one fun, stunning excursion for the entire family that’ll make you forget you’re sitting in the heart of the Dubai Mall.
