Come February 23 and handicraft lovers in the region are in for a treat. A three-day virtual buyer seller meet (from Feb 23 to 25, 2021) is being organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), India.
The meet, supported by Indian embassies, high commissions and consul general offices in West Asia & North Africa (WANA Region), will offer a platform for lovers of authentic lifestyle, home, fashion, furniture and textiles handicrafts to pick up pieces exquisitely crafted by artisans from across India.

Thanks to a plethora of cultures, traditions and art, and with every part of the country boasting its own distinctive art and craft traditions and techniques, India has a handicraft industry that is truly diverse and unique in many ways.
Known for crafting some of the most intricate not to mention highly desired handicrafts ranging from lifestyle and fashion, to stationery and more, the Indian handicrafts industry produces a spectacularly wide range of products.

With more than 7 million crafts persons blending traditional and cultural elements and giving contemporary twists to make handicrafts appealing to not just the domestic market but even across the globe, the handicrafts industry has truly come into its own. On show and available to buyers from across the region will be exquisite pieces that are not just a delight to the eye but are conversation starters that would be perfect for any home.
Adhering to international norms related to health, safety, environment and social compliance, the products have been produced by some 50 accredited manufacturers and exporters from across India.
