United States President Barack Obama and his family are set to lease a nine-bedroom home in Washington D.C.’s upscale Kalorama neighbourhood from January 2017. According to reports by CNN the house is reportedly owned by Joe Lockhart, who served as Press Secretary during the Clinton administration.

Barack and his wife Michelle have made the decision to stay in the capital following the end of Barack's second term as President in order to allow their youngest daughter Sasha to finish high school without having to change schools. The 8,200 square-foot brick Tudor house was built in 1928 and has spacious living and dining rooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a media room, an au-pair suite as well as generous garden and courtyard space.
